Old Soviet Hotel
I came across an old, crumbling, seemingly abandoned Soviet-era hotel in Jermuk, Armenia on a recent shoot: a fascinating monolithic structure built onto the cliffside. Unbelievably, even though weeds and trees have taken over the grounds and broken glass and peeling plaster fill its interiors, part of it is still being used as a hotel and many others live there permanently. I hear the Gladzor resort is being renovated soon so glad I could capture a few shots of the original. Click for larger versions.
